MAIS UMA VISITA QUE

DEIXOU MARCA NO YouTube

ILHA DO FAIAL

Estamos a chegar ao fim de mais um ano, que pouco ou nada trouxe em relação a uma das maiores ambições dos Faialenses (não dos seus políticos, ao que parece), o tão desejado e prometido aumento da pista do Aeroporto Internacional da Horta. Novas eleições, quase as mesmas caras, muitas promessas, enfim...vamos esperar para ver.

Uma coisa é certa, faz falta nesta terra, Faialenses que honrem a memória de outros que viram em anos passados, o Faial ser o "coração" do Atlântico, o ponto de encontro entre dois mundos. A nossa história é grandiosa, e todos nós temos de ter orgulho nela, mas sem nunca esquecer que podemos e devemos contribuir para o desenvolvimento deste "bocadinho" de terra algures no Atlântico, inserido num Arquipélago cada vez mais bipolarizado por interesses económicos e capitalistas, o que temos é bom e desejável turisticamente, a ideia "triângulo" era o nosso maior trunfo, agora com estas mentalidades, dificilmente lá chegaremos.

Assim para o ano que se avizinha, desejo a todos os Faialenses e a todos aqueles que gostam desta terra um Ano Próspero, com saúde e paz.

PS- Este é o legado que vamos deixar a gerações vindouras, e acreditem não gostaria de ficar para a história, como pertencente a uma geração de incapacitados, de desinteressados pela sua terra, alheios aos "atentados" que constantemente nos tentam fazer, enquanto nós impávidos e serenos observamos tudo isso...(salvo honrosas excepções)

Outro, num trabalho de recolha e investigação que já envolve muita gente ( dentro e fora do país), para conseguir juntar fotos antigas e recentes de todos os navios, aviões, etc que nos tenham visitado, hoje sinceramente recomendo uma visitinha, pois foi publicado um excelente trabalho de pesquisa com fotos de submarinos americanos no porto da Horta em 1917.

Assim além de Portugueses, Açorianos e Faialenses, ainda temos direito a mais um nome, conforme a nossa freguesia.

SINAIS DO TEMPO E A MALDIÇÃO DE NÃO PINTAR

Uma das minhas preocupações desde o inicio deste blog, foi procurar feedback de visitas ao Faial, existem milhares de referências, mas de vez em quando aparece algumas engraçadas. O mais mencionado será sem dúvida, o vulcão, a caldeira, o verde, as hortênsias, a fabulosa vista para a montanha do Pico, a marina e suas pinturas, não esquecendo a "maldição" de que caso não façam uma pintura nas suas muralhas, algo vai correr mal, as referências ao Peter, principalmente por pessoas ligadas ao mar, nem é preciso lembrar, enfim, umas mais que outras, cada um tem os seus gostos, e as suas preferências...

Hoje no entanto, encontrei isto e algo mais, por isso dei o nome a este post: Sinais dos Tempos...
